My husband and I desperately needed a warm winter getaway from Central New York. I had sent many clients to the Dominican Republic, but had never been. Now was the time!
We were met at the airport by a gentleman holding a sign with my name. Nice touch. As we hopped in the small van, which had a driver and a guide, we heard a loud pop. It was the champagne being opened to celebrate our arrival and sustain us for the hour long ride to the resort.

We were met at reception by Carlos and walked to our suite for private check in. This property only has 53 suites and is all inclusive. No reservations are required for the 3 on site restaurants, one just shows up. Our first night we chose Indigo, the restaurant on the beach. We were met by Enrique. He was the best. We were only one of two couples in the restaurant. I guess most people eat later. It was romantic and private. Great food, service and presentation.
Any one who knows me, also knows I am a red wine fan. Enrique personally made sure that I had a particular bottle of wine in my suite for the duration of the trip. Love that man.
